Mercedes-Benz 300 SE

About this car

Closely related to the W111 variants and sharing similar Paul Bracq design traits, the elegant W112 coupé and cabriolet were differentiated by exclusive interior and exterior appointments and featured a higher standard specification. The most expensive Mercedes-Benz models of their time, these 300 SE Cabriolets had a list price that was twice that of Jaguar’s E-Type.

Perfect design

This extremely rare and handsome 300 SE convertible is one of the very desirable flagship models, only 708 cars were built, 78 righthand and 630 lefthand drive cars. The 300 SE employed a fuel injected version of Mercedes-Benz 2,996cc (170bhp) engine, sharing the engine with the beautiful 300 SL Gullwing. Featuring a 4-matic gearbox and hydro-pneumatic, self-leveling system, the 300 SE was good for 120mph. With its seldom-seen comfort and revolutionary electric power steering, it can easily be argued that the Mercedes 300 SE was a car before its time.

Comfort first

Finished in a timeless and stylish colour combination of dark blue over vintage red leather completed with a dark blue mohair softtop, the car is equally as impressive with the roof up as with it down. Thanks to a thorough restoration at Beerens Classics (Belgium) at about 10 years ago the car returned to its formal glory.  The car is in pristine condition, was cherished by its Belgian owner. Recent invoices show attention to a perfect and careful maintenance.

Made to measure

This impressive German lady is a treat for classic Mercedes-Benz collectors and enthusiasts alike.
