Jaguar E-Type Series I (2+2) FHC

About this car

The Jaguar E-type series 1 was introduced in March 1961, initially for export only. The domestic market launch came four months later. In 1963 Jaguar E-type floors were changed to provide more legroom and the double hood latches moved inside the car. The 3,8 liter engine was increased to 4,2 liters in October 1964. Also in 1963, Jaguar decided to turn the E-type into a competitive race car and manufactured 12 Lightweight E-types.

Inspired by racing

The Series 1 E-type we offer for sale is inspired by this race model… A car from the time when smoking was still healthy… A perfect match between high luxury and comfort (look at these leather-trimmed comfortable seats and aluminium-trimmed center instrument panel and console) and sportiness with it’s wider rear fenders (5 cm) and fantastic looking chrome wire-wheels. Featured with the 4,2 litre engine and a very smooth Getrag 5-speed manual transmission, this graceful piece of British elegance and heritage will charm you for sure.

Attention to detail

The restoration of the car was complete, all aluminium panels were shaped by hand, even as the entire interior trim. The restoration works were achieved with the biggest attention to all details and only higher quality parts and professional repairs were allowed in the process. Difficult to stop it from making a home in the heart of every car lover…
