Driven by the passion for the most elegant car types ever, Belrose Classics decided to design and launch its own edition, the “Signature Belrose” version of one of the most iconic and beautiful sports car ever… the Jaguar E-type Lightweight.

Basically, the Lightweight E-type was a continuity, an evolution of the Low drag Coupé inspired by the D-Type. 

Only 12 original samples of the Lightweight were launched on the market between 1963 and 1964. With a weight of only 975 kg (!) they reached a top speed of 274 km/h.

This stunning E-type is a thorough restoration with widened body from a series 2 roadster offering following important specifications. To start off, it has full alloy body panels that are widened by 3 cm on each side to enable good road holding. Wider wheels, adjustable suspension with special springs and disc-brakes all around have been fitted to offer the ultimate driving sensation. 

Ready to rally

The straight six 4.2 litre engine is improved with Weber carburettors & an electronic ignition and it produces 298 horsepower. Being linked to a manual 5-speed Getrag gearbox and modern clutch, this one drives like a dream. It has power steering until 40 km/h to assist manoeuvring and the original S1 alloy buckets have been installed together with a S1 dashboard and switches. To make it even better to rally around the world, our “Signature Belrose” offers enlarged space at drivers side and an adjusted soft top allowing tall people to enjoy the car.
